| Dr. Steve Williams, Pastor Dr. Steve Williams joined FBC Hartwell in March of 2006. He was born in Rolla, Missouri, graduating from Rolla High School in 1977. He entered Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. and graduated in 1981 with a double major in Religion and Psychology. He earned his Masters of Divinity from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX where he met his wife Lori at the Lifeway Baptist Bookstore in August of 1984. They married on August 10, 1985 in her home town of Columbia, SC. He has two daughters: Sarah, a nursing student in Columbia, and Emily, a freshman at the University of Georgia. John Spencer, Music MinisterJohn Spencer joined the staff in January of 2010. He hails originally from Deland, Florida. He graduated from Stetson University in 2005 and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008. He met his wife Emily in the fall of 2008 and married July 11, 2009. He comes from a diverse music background and seeks to utilize various forms of music to aid in the worship of God. In his free time, John enjoys reading history, live music and drama, bicycling, and fishing. John and Emily feel blessed to be a part of the FBC staff and family | | Matt Law, Minister to Youth Matt enjoys his job (if it can be called that) as the youth minister at FBC. There is something about working with students that allows a person to realize what a  blessing it is to be a youth minister. He and his wife, Jennifer, began serving in Hartwell in 2005, and cannot imagine there being a more loving church family than the one at FBC. Julie George, Children's Director Julie has been married to Len for 16 years. They have four beautiful children. She teaches History and Algebra at the Masters Academy in Athens. She has worked in children's ministry for the last 14 years, in many different capacities. Her greatest desire is to see children come to know the Lord, worship Him, and be willing to tell others about His salvation without fear
